Early Orthodontic Treatment
Early orthodontic treatment happens while a child still has a mix of baby and adult teeth, usually somewhere around ages 7 to 10.
Early Treatment
Early treatment works during the mixed dentition stage, around ages 7 to 10, while the jaw is still growing. At Roncesvalles Orthodontics, that timing helps guide growth and make room for the permanent teeth on the way in.
How It Works
At this age the bones are still soft and shifting. That gives Dr. Borenstein a real chance to influence how the jaw grows, nudge teeth toward better positions, and open up space for the ones still on their way in.
Early treatment rarely means full braces right away. For a lot of kids it’s a short first phase, then a break, then a simpler round later if it’s even needed. Set things up now so the permanent teeth have a healthier place to land.
